GRAPHIC INTERVENTION

A) Any technique (digital or manual) may be used;

 

B) No element of the existing label may be removed;

 

C) It must not contain any identifying characteristics of the author(s) (m / f), nor any reference to brands or logos.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

A) Proposals must be submitted in digital format via email to natcoolcontest@niepoort.pt, using a photo or scan in PDF or JPG format (maximum 50MB), A3 size (42cm x 29.7cm), and 300dpi resolution.

 

B) In the body of the email, please fill in the following fields:

1) name

2) email

3) mobile / phone

4) country

5) nationality

6) brief description of the proposal

7) technique(s) used

C) Any proposal that does not comply with the two points above or is submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

COMPETITION TIMELINE

A) Final deadline for proposal submissions: by 11:59 PM (Greenwich/Portugal time), October 26, 2024;

 

B) Final deadline for public announcement of the winning proposals: by December 2, 2024;

C) The winner of the "NatCool Creative Contest" will be notified by email and/or phone.

OBJECTIVE AND COPYRIGHT

​A) The ownership content related to copyright is guaranteed.

​

B) However, the participating authors will give prior agreement for the discussion of their proposals for promotional purposes of the Niepoort brand, without time limit.

​

C) Participation in this contest, considered from the moment a proposal is received, implies full and unconditional acceptance of the conditions set out in these regulations, as well as authorization regarding the collection, recording, and processing of personal data provided as part of the submission.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

​The “NatCool Creative Contest”:​

A) Is open to all individuals, Portuguese or foreign, residing in Portugal or not, natural or legal persons, over 18 years old;

​

B) Employees or collaborators of Niepoort, as well as members of the jury, spouses, equivalents, and ascending and descending relatives, are not allowed to participate;

​

C) Proposals can be submitted individually or collectively (co-authorship), with one proposal per candidate.

 

D) Applicants are responsible for the originality of the submitted proposal, guaranteeing its authorship and, thus, assuming all responsibility for any third-party claims regarding copyright.

COMPETITION STAGES

​The competition includes the following phases:

Phase 1:  Verification of the submitted proposals and exclusion of proposals that do not comply with these regulations;

Phase 2:  Evaluation of the proposals by the announced jury;

Phase 3:  Communication of the results to the winners;

Phase 4:  Communication of the results to the public and all competitors.

JURY

A) The proposals are numbered and selected anonymously, without any identifying characteristics of the authors.

 

B) The jury that will evaluate the proposals will consider the following factors:

1.) The originality and creativity of the proposal;

2.) The legibility and adaptability of the proposal;

3.) The communication of the NatCool spirit.

C) The jury is composed of:

· Dirk Niepoort (President of Niepoort)

· Daniel Niepoort (Head of Enology Niepoort)

· Cristiana Carvalho (Designer Niepoort)

· Sam Baron (Creative Director)

· Miguel Almeida (Creative Director, Designer, and Teacher)

· Joana Lourencinho (Graphic Designer)

· Bárbara Simões (Marketing Director)

· Sara Rafael (Visual Artist)

 

D) ​The jury's decisions will be made by majority

vote, without possibility of appeal.

​

​

 

​PRIZES

​A) The winning proposal will have its design

featured on the label of a NatCool edition and

will also receive: 1000 euros in cash;

 

B)  The second and third winning proposals will receive honorable mentions and a set of Niepoort wines worth 200 euros.

​

C) Prizes cannot be exchanged or converted

into cash.
